My name is Kiira and I live in San Francisco, (Mission District if that means anything to you).  In my blog you can expect to get a little second-hand exposure to the dirt, parking tickets, hipsterisms, and cultural events that this coloring-crayon-box city has to offer.

I was raised in the “romantic” Redding, CA, and will occasionally let you in on some secrets of the real north-state where things get conservative, cowboy-raw, and sometimes disturbing by the rest of California’s standards.  But despite its flaws, Redding retains a rugged charm, and will always be “home” to me. 

My interests are widespread, sometimes fleeting, but always sincere. This blog is a smattering of commentary on the arts, culture, and local happenings.  My only long-standing loves are literature and languages, so forgive me in advance for the bombardment of quotes and book references.
